Why use 3d Printing? Need some convincing?

Finding parts for classic or discontinued boats is a common challenge solved by modern 3D printing. While not a budget alternative to mass-produced items, this technology is far more economical than custom machining, especially for obsolete components.

For many mariners, it’s the only viable way to source a durable, precise-fitting part that restores function and perfectly matches your vessel’s aesthetic. Investing in a 3D-printed component is the smart, practical solution for that impossible-to-find piece, getting you back on the water where you belong.

C&C Nonsuch Jibe helper

Depending on how your lifeline is connected to your Nonsuch, you may have an issue with the main sheet getting caught as it rides up to the bail that the lifeline connects to. It’s hard to believe, but that small vertical element will catch the sheet in a jibe, causing a hard jibe and bang when it finally lets go. I’ve designed a custom part to prevent that from happening.

It can be attached with a couple of threaded bolts and easily removed or replaced if necessary. It is made from ASA which has excellent heat, UV and strength characteristics.
